Dear runner, Thank you for registering for our event and we hope that you are staying healthy, and your training is going well. The group at Rompin Rockwood would like to update you on the event and the current covid pandemic. Based on the situation and restrictions on Oct 1, outdoor events are permitted to continue. Nevertheless, we want to inform you of the additional measures that will be put in place to keep everyone safe. General – All volunteers will be masked. – Masks will be required at Registration, Start Line, and Finish Line for the runners. – Hand sanitizers will be available. – Please do not attend the event if you are showing covid symptoms, asked by Public Health to self isolate or are awaiting a covid test result. – Although proof of vaccination or medical exemption is not mandated for outdoor events at this time, we strongly encourage you to get immunized, if you can. If you are already fully immunized, thank you! Aid Station- The aid station is for the 25k and 50k events. The 10k event will not pass the aid station.- It will be located in the clearing between the Zoo Trail and Mary Ann. You will pass the aid station 2 times: once shortly after you turn left from Sweetness onto Zoo Trail. The second time will be when you’re coming through on Mary Ann- All volunteers will be masked and gloved. – Hand sanitizers will be available. – Water will be available at the aid station but THIS IS A CUPLESS EVENT. BRING YOUR OWN CUP- Nutrition selections will be minimised, we encourage participants to carry their favourite nutrition on the course. Start / Finish – We ask that participants do not arrive too early. Please only give yourself enough time to check in prior to your event in order to minimize the crowd before the start. Please refer to this link for event check in and start times:https://feelinggoodnb.com/…/rompin-rockwood-race-day…/– After you finish (congratulations!), you will be given a goodie bag with your medal and snacks. The tradition of having a post race food station will be omitted. – There will be no awards ceremony. Podium finishers will be notified of their placings and will be able to retrieve their prize at a later date. Though these measures result in less fanfare associated with a typical event, we want to do our best to keep everyone safe. However, please understand that this is a highly fluid situation and Rompin’ Rockwood will align with any public health and sport specific covid measures in effect on race day. Thank you all for your understanding and anticipated cooperation.
